Guinness Ghana DJ Awards 2026 Tour Begins with Major Winneba CelebrationThe 2026 Guinness Ghana DJ Awards nationwide tour has officially begun, with Winneba in the Central Region hosting the first stop of the tour on Saturday, August 15.The launch came through a lively Pub Fest celebration, which brought together DJs, music fans, students and nightlife enthusiasts for a night dedicated to Ghana’s DJ culture.The activities started with a street float through key parts of Winneba. A cultural display accompanied the procession, signalling the opening of the Pub Fest celebrations and drawing the attention of residents along the route.The celebrations later moved to Tempest Lounge, where more than 1,200 people gathered for the main event. The night featured performances by DJ Raya, DJ Scratch, DJ Bliss and reigning DJ of the Year, DJ Sly King.MC Kilson and MC Shongee of Nyce FM kept the crowd entertained throughout the event as the Winneba audience embraced the “All Out” spirit of the celebration.Tour Takes Awards Experience Across GhanaThe Winneba event represents the first destination on the nationwide tour leading up to the 2026 Guinness Ghana DJ Awards.According to the organisers, Merqury Republic, the tour is intended to take the awards experience beyond Accra while connecting with music lovers and nightlife communities in different parts of the country. It will also provide opportunities for DJs across the regions to showcase their talent.Merqury Republic said beginning the tour in the Central Region reflects the awards' focus on celebrating DJs and nightlife communities across Ghana.“The Ghana DJ Awards belong to DJs and music lovers across Ghana,” the organisers stated. They added that taking the experience nationwide would help connect with local audiences, highlight talent and give more people an opportunity to participate in the journey.Smirnoff Powers Pub Fest ActivationsPowered by Smirnoff, Pub Fest is among the major activations associated with the Ghana DJ Awards. The initiative brings music, entertainment and cultural experiences to selected nightlife destinations.This year's nationwide campaign is being driven by the “All Out” theme, encouraging DJs, creatives and fans to bring their energy and celebrate those contributing to Ghana's music and nightlife culture.After the Central Region opening in Winneba, the tour is scheduled to continue to Takoradi in the Western Region for its next stop.The nationwide activities will build towards the 2026 Guinness Ghana DJ Awards, scheduled for Friday, December 4, at the Palms Convention Centre, where the season will culminate in another celebration of Ghana's DJ and entertainment community.
