Welcome to GhasaWeb. In these Terms and Conditions, “GhasaWeb”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the GhasaWeb news and media platform. “You” and “your” refer to every visitor, registered user, contributor, advertiser or other person who accesses or uses the platform.
By accessing or using GhasaWeb, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please stop using the platform.
These terms form an agreement between you and GhasaWeb whenever you visit the website, open an account, subscribe to a newsletter, post a comment, submit an article, upload media, purchase advertising or use any other GhasaWeb feature.
Additional rules, prices, campaign conditions or notices displayed within a particular service also apply to that service. Where a specific written agreement has been signed, that agreement will apply together with these terms.
You must be legally able to enter into an agreement in your country. A parent or legal guardian must supervise use by anyone who is not legally able to agree on their own behalf.
We may request reasonable verification before approving an account, advertiser, contributor profile, payment, listing or other submitted information.
GhasaWeb may provide news, opinions, interviews, photographs, videos, radio, television, podcasts, comments, newsletters, directories, job or worker listings, user-submitted articles, advertising and other media or community services.
Features may be introduced, modified, suspended or discontinued. We do not guarantee that every service will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free or compatible with every device, browser or internet connection.
You retain ownership of original material you submit, subject to the licence described below. You are solely responsible for ensuring that your submission is accurate, lawful and properly authorised.
By submitting content to GhasaWeb, you confirm that:
You grant GhasaWeb a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, edit, format, translate, publish, promote, distribute and display the submitted content through GhasaWeb’s website, applications, newsletters, social platforms and other publishing channels. This licence exists so that we can operate, promote and archive the service. You may request removal, but copies may remain where retention is required for legal, security, backup or record-keeping purposes.
Submission does not guarantee publication. GhasaWeb may verify, fact-check, edit, shorten, correct, categorise, add a headline, request evidence, delay, reject, unpublish, archive or remove content in accordance with editorial, legal, safety, quality and technical requirements.
We may label content as opinion, sponsored, developing, corrected, updated or unverified where appropriate. Material may also be removed following a credible complaint, court order, rights claim, safety concern or breach of these terms.
You must not use GhasaWeb to:
We may investigate suspected misuse and preserve relevant records. Where appropriate, we may report conduct to affected parties, service providers or lawful authorities.
GhasaWeb’s branding, original articles, page designs, graphics, software, databases, compilations and other platform material are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Third-party names, logos and content remain the property of their respective owners.
You may share normal links to publicly available pages and use limited quotations where legally permitted and properly attributed. You may not reproduce, sell, rebrand, mirror, systematically download or commercially exploit protected material without permission.
Rights holders may send a detailed complaint identifying the protected work, the disputed content, its location, their authority to act and reliable contact details. We may remove or restrict content while reviewing a claim.
Advertising is subject to availability, approval, the selected placement, dimensions, duration, price, payment status and campaign requirements displayed by GhasaWeb or agreed in writing.
Free advertisement placements may have additional limits and may be changed, suspended or withdrawn. Payment and refund conditions displayed at checkout or on an invoice form part of these terms.
GhasaWeb may embed or link to external websites, social networks, payment providers, advertising networks, media players, maps, job listings and other third-party services. Their own terms, policies and security practices apply when you use them.
A link, mention, listing or advertisement does not automatically mean that GhasaWeb owns, controls, verifies or endorses the third party. You should assess external offers and websites before sharing information, making a payment or entering an agreement.
News develops quickly and may change after publication. Although GhasaWeb aims to publish useful and accurate information, content is provided for general information and may contain errors, omissions, delays, opinions or information supplied by third parties.
GhasaWeb content is not a substitute for professional legal, medical, financial, immigration, employment, safety or other specialist advice. You should obtain advice appropriate to your circumstances before making important decisions.
Job, worker, classified and community listings connect users but do not make GhasaWeb the employer, recruiter, agent, guarantor or party to transactions arranged between users. Verify identities, qualifications, offers and payment requests independently.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, GhasaWeb is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not make warranties that the platform will always be available, secure, uninterrupted, complete or free from technical errors.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, GhasaWeb and its owners, officers, workers, contributors and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from your use of, inability to use, or reliance on the platform, user content, advertisements or external services.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited. Your statutory consumer and data-protection rights remain unaffected.
You may stop using GhasaWeb at any time. Subject to applicable law and any paid-service agreement, we may warn, restrict, suspend, block or close an account or service where we reasonably believe there has been a breach, security threat, fraudulent activity, repeated rights infringement, payment failure or risk to users or the platform.
Provisions intended to continue after termination—including ownership, licences, disclaimers, liability limits, payment obligations and dispute provisions—will remain effective.
We may update these terms to reflect changes in GhasaWeb’s services, legal obligations, security measures or business operations. The effective date at the top of this page will be revised when changes are published.
Where a change is significant, we may also provide notice through the website, an account message or email. Continued use after updated terms take effect means you accept the revised terms, except where the law requires another form of consent.
These terms are governed by the applicable laws of Ghana, without removing any mandatory protections you may have under the laws that apply where you live. Parties should first try to resolve a concern in good faith by contacting GhasaWeb.
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining parts will continue to apply. A delay in enforcing a term does not waive the right to enforce it later.
