Former Hearts of Oak head coach Didi Dramani has praised his players and technical team for their commitment and resilience after guiding the club to a third-place finish in the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.
The Phobians endured a challenging start to the campaign, suffering a surprise early exit from the MTN FA Cup at the hands of True Life FC. Despite the setback, Hearts gradually improved as the season progressed, although inconsistent performances at home prevented them from mounting a stronger title challenge.
Looking back on the season, Dramani described the achievement as a testament to the collective effort of everyone associated with the team, especially considering the difficulties they encountered along the way.
“Considering the challenges we faced and where we started, our third-place finish in the Ghana Premier League was a job by the team,” Dramani told Asempa FM.
The experienced coach admitted that expectations were high at the start of the season but stressed that the squad’s determination and unity enabled them to overcome obstacles and secure a place among the league’s top three clubs.
Dramani reserved special praise for his players, commending them for embracing the team’s philosophy and maintaining their focus throughout a demanding campaign.
He also acknowledged the important role played by the club’s technical and backroom staff, insisting that the success achieved this season was the result of a united effort rather than the work of any single individual.
The former Black Stars assistant coach believes the third-place finish reflects the character shown by the team during a season marked by adversity and challenges, with Hearts of Oak ultimately ending the campaign on a positive note.
