Forum for Equity calls for holistic government resetting agenda to benefit all Ghanaians

Mr Prince Bugnaba Mba, President of the Forum for Equity, has urged the government to pursue a holistic resetting agenda that benefits all Ghanaians, rather than focusing narrowly on political opponents.

In a statement copied to the News Agency in , he said resetting must extend across both public and private sectors, where “intricate legalised rip-offs” continue to undermine national progress.

He called for urgent reforms, stressing that “no Ghanaian should compete with animals for unwholesome drinking water” while unemployment disparities widen, leaving many graduates in distress.

Mr Mba noted the rapid industrial strides in neighbouring , pointing to visible movements of mining, construction and industrial equipment, and urged Ghana to accelerate similar development initiatives. Despite Ghana’s favourable climate, vegetation, and mineral resources, he said it was “ironically confusing” to see slow development outcomes alongside massive exploitation by foreign mining companies and their political allies.

He added that while the government often resisted constructive criticism, the essence of power was to guarantee citizens a dignified life through gainful engagement. “We have more than enough for the common good of all, if only we become pragmatic, purposeful and full of visionary zeal,” he stated.
