Argentina vs England World Cup semi-final tickets more than twice as expensive as France vs Spain – Ghana Latest Football News, Live Scores, Results

Fans hoping to watch Argentina take on England in the 2026 FIFA World Cup semi-finals will have to dig much deeper into their pockets than those attending the other last-four clash.

According to ticket-tracking service TicketData.com, the cheapest ticket for Wednesday’s blockbuster between defending champions Argentina and England in Atlanta stood at $2,841 as of Monday afternoon, more than double the $1,325 entry price for Tuesday’s semi-final between France and Spain in Arlington.

Demand for Argentina’s clash with England has continued to rise in recent days. The lowest ticket price has increased by 34% over the past three days, peaking at $2,966 on Saturday before settling at its current figure.

By contrast, prices for the France-Spain encounter have moved in the opposite direction, falling 26% over the same period.

The high demand for Argentina’s match is largely driven by the team’s global popularity and the opportunity for fans to watch Lionel Messi, who is expected to retire from international football after the tournament. Atlanta also has a strong Argentine football following, further boosting interest in the fixture.

Meanwhile, tickets for the third-place play-off in Miami are currently available from $1,543, making them significantly cheaper than Argentina versus England but still more expensive than France against Spain.

The most sought-after ticket remains the World Cup final at New York New Jersey Stadium. The current entry price is $6,760, although that figure has dropped by six percent over the last 72 hours. Ticket prices for the final had reached as high as $13,650 before the tournament and were still above $12,000 less than a month ago.

The figures underline the extraordinary demand for the closing stages of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, particularly when football’s biggest stars remain in contention.
