The Ministry of the Interior has cautioned applicants in the ongoing security services recruitment process to remain vigilant against fraudulent messages regarding medical screening.
In a public notice, the Ministry clarified that no SMS notifications have yet been sent to applicants concerning the next phase of the recruitment process. Official messages are expected to be dispatched between March 29 and March 31, 2026.
According to the statement, medical screening for qualified candidates is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at designated centres across all regions.
Applicants have been strongly advised to ignore unsolicited messages requesting payment for medical screening, as these are likely to be scams. The Ministry emphasized that all legitimate SMS notifications will come exclusively from the authorised sender ID “CSERP.”

In addition, candidates are urged to verify their status on their recruitment portal, which will change from “Qualified” to “Medical Screening” once official notifications are sent. Payments, where required, must only be made through the secure web checkout system on the official portal.
The Ministry stressed that no applicant should send money directly to any mobile money number, warning that such requests are fraudulent.
The advisory comes as part of broader efforts by the government to ensure transparency and integrity in the recruitment process for agencies under the Interior Ministry, including the Ghana Police Service and the Ghana Prisons Service.
Applicants have been encouraged to report any suspected fraud to the official email address provided by the Ministry, as authorities work to protect candidates from exploitation.
