MIHOSO International Foundation, a Sunyani-based health-focused NGO, has been awarded the National Award for Excellence in Health, Social Development, and Livelihoods at the 4th Ghana Philanthropy Awards held on October 30, 2025, at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Accra.
In a statement signed by Mr Thomas Benarkuu, Deputy Chief Executive (Operations) of MIHOSO, the organisation expressed gratitude for the honour, which was presented by Dr. Leslie Casely-Hayford, Executive Director of Associates for Change.

The award recognises MIHOSO’s dedicated service to vulnerable populations, its commitment to advancing human dignity, and its impactful interventions across Ghana.
The organisation noted that what began as a modest mission to support disadvantaged communities has now earned national recognition, made possible through the collective efforts of its team, partners, and donors.
According to the statement, the Foundation dedicates the award to the rural and vulnerable communities it serves, reaffirming its commitment to building resilience, protecting lives, and promoting sustainable livelihoods.
