Ghanaian youngster Alexander Junior Amoafo has completed a move to Slovak top-flight side FK Zeleziarne Podbrezova, earning a contract after impressing during an extended trial with the club.

The highly-rated winger spent approximately six weeks training with Podbrezova’s first team and U-19 side, where his performances convinced the club’s technical staff and management to secure his signature.

Following successful negotiations with his parent club, the Slovak outfit finalized the transfer.

Podbrezova General Manager Miroslav Poliacek expressed his delight over the acquisition, highlighting Amoafo’s qualities and long-term potential.

“Already during his trial, we saw great potential in him. He’s a talented offensive player with excellent pace.

“He feels most comfortable operating in the wide areas while also possessing strong technical fundamentals. We believe he can fully develop his potential with us,” Poliacek said.

The club has already outlined a development plan for the 2007-born winger.

To aid his progression, Amoafo is expected to spend the next six months on loan, where he will be given the opportunity to play regular first-team football before returning to compete for a place in Podbrezová’s senior squad.

Club officials believe consistent competitive action will be crucial to the teenager’s development as he adapts to European football.

The move represents another significant step in Amoafo’s promising career, with the young Ghanaian joining a club renowned for nurturing emerging talent and providing a pathway to top-level football.

Amoafo will now look to continue his development in Slovakia and take advantage of the opportunities ahead as he aims to establish himself in European football.
