Werder Bremen keep faith in Salim Musah – Ghana Latest Football News, Live Scores, Results

SV Werder Bremen are planning to keep German-Ghanaian forward Salim Musah in the first-team squad next season and do not currently see a loan move as an option.

The 20-year-old striker has impressed the club with his progress, and sporting director Clemens Fritz says Werder want him to keep growing in Bremen.

Musah made his Bundesliga debut last season and went on to play eight top-flight matches, scoring his first goal in the German top flight along the way. That breakthrough has strengthened the club’s belief that he is ready for a bigger role rather than another temporary move away.

Fritz made the club’s stance clear, saying, “Wir planen zu 100 Prozent mit ihm,” and adding that Musah has developed strongly over the last two years and will remain a fixed part of the professional squad. Werder also believe the striker could benefit from the current squad situation, with new arrival Kenny Quetant still settling in and Cedric Itten away with Switzerland at the World Cup.

For now, the message from Bremen is simple: Musah stays, and his development will continue at Werder rather than elsewhere.
