The Minister for Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, says government is intensifying relief efforts for victims of the recent floods, with emergency supplies already reaching the hardest-hit communities while preparations are underway to extend assistance to affected regions across the country.
He assured displaced families that no affected community would be left behind as government continues its coordinated response.

Minister for Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, says the impact of the floods now spans seven regions, with the Greater Accra, Volta and Central Regions recording the most severe devastation.
He says under the direct instruction of President John Dramani Mahama, the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), through the Relief and Donations Committee, has commenced the large-scale mobilisation and distribution of relief items to affected communities.
The supplies include food, clean drinking water, temporary shelter materials, blankets and essential medical supplies to support displaced families.
According to Mr. Kwakye Ofosu, the nationwide relief operation is being executed in phases to ensure the orderly and timely delivery of assistance.

The first phase covered La Dade Kotopon, Ayawaso Central and Korle Klottey, while the second phase reached Krowor, Ga East (Dome-Kwabenya), Shai Osudoku, Ada East, Ablekuma North, Ada West and Okaikwei North.
He assured residents in the Central, Volta, Western, Ashanti, Western North and Eastern Regions that government has not overlooked them, adding that logistics are being deployed to transport relief supplies to affected communities.
“No affected community has been forgotten. Relief supplies are being deployed across the country, and every district in need will receive support.”
Mr. Kwakye Ofosu said NADMO regional coordinators are already on the ground, with additional relief items expected to reach the affected regions from Saturday.
He also urged the public to remain vigilant by observing safety advisories and reporting emergencies promptly to the appropriate authorities.
“Government will not rest until every displaced family is supported, every affected district is restored, and our communities are rebuilt to be stronger and more resilient,” he said
He commended personnel of the Ghana Armed Forces, the Ghana Police Service, emergency responders, health workers and volunteers for their dedication throughout the rescue and relief operations, assuring Ghanaians that government will continue to provide regular updates as the recovery efforts progress.
