Striker Felix Afena-Gyan capped his loan spell in Turkey on a high after securing top-flight qualification with Amedspor on Saturday, 2 May 2026.
The Ghana international was handed a starting role on the final day of competition in a must-not-lose match against Igdir FK.
He put in an impressive shift (which earned him a match rating of 6.4) and was substituted in injury time in a pulsating 3-3 away draw.
The point earned helped Amedspor to secure a second-place finish in the Turkish second tier, claiming one of the two automatic promotion spots.
They ended the campaign on 74 points-seven behind champions Erzurumspor-and level with Erokspor, edging them on the head-to-head rule to seal promotion.
Afena-Gyan scored five goals in 35 league appearances in what could be described as a successful loan spell.
He is expected to return to his parent club Cremonese of Italy.
