Police bodyguard foils robbery attempt at Court of Appeal judge’s residence in Kumasi


The Ghana Service has confirmed that a robbery attempt at the residence of a Court of Appeal judge in was successfully foiled due to the swift action of a police bodyguard on duty.

According to the Ashanti Regional Police Command, the incident occurred at about 11:30 p.m. on March 3, 2026. Preliminary investigations indicate that two suspects, identified as Patrick Alor, 23, and Akwasi Gyamfi, 21, scaled the fence wall of the judge’s residence while armed with cutlasses and a pair of scissors.

Police said the suspects attempted to forcibly open the judge’s private vehicle after entering the compound. However, they were spotted by the police bodyguard assigned to the judge, who quickly moved to apprehend them.
