The Ghanaians in Qatar Association (GiQa) has urged members of the Ghanaian community in Qatar to remain calm and vigilant following recent security developments reported across the country and the wider region.
In a public notice issued on March 3, 2026, the association advised Ghanaians living in the Gulf state to stay united and rely only on verified information from official government and embassy sources.
According to the notice signed by GiQa Chairman, Bernard Quaicoe, members of the community should avoid circulating unverified messages, videos, or rumours, particularly on social media, as such information could create unnecessary panic.
The association also commended the preparedness and coordination of Qatari authorities in maintaining public safety and national stability.
“Members are encouraged to remain calm, vigilant, and united,” the notice stated, adding that the Ghanaian community should continue to support one another during the period.
GiQa further urged members to comply fully with all official directives and safety advisories issued by authorities in Qatar, while prioritizing both personal and collective safety.
The association encouraged community members to check on one another and promote calm and informed discussions within their families and social networks.
GiQa reaffirmed its commitment to unity, responsibility and mutual support among Ghanaians living in Qatar, expressing confidence that the community would navigate the situation with discipline and faith.
The statement concluded with a call for solidarity and prayers for the safety of residents and the continued peace and stability of Qatar.
“Stay safe. Stay informed. Stay united,” the association advised.
