Mfantsipim School storms into NSMQ 2025 semi-finals after overpowering Prempeh College and Adisadel College


Defending champions School (BOTWE) have reaffirmed their status as the team to beat in the 2025 National Science and Maths Quiz (), after defeating rivals and in a fiercely contested quarter-final clash at the SGS Auditorium of the of .

The much-anticipated contest, described by many as a “battle of giants,” delivered nonstop excitement, with loud cheers, tense pauses, and dramatic momentum shifts that kept the hall electrified throughout the competition.

Mfantsipim set the tone early, finishing Round One with a strong 25 points. Prempeh trailed closely with 20 points, while Adisadel struggled to find their rhythm with 15 points.

In Round Two, BOTWE shifted into full gear, displaying impressive speed and accuracy to stretch their lead to 41 points. Prempeh fell further behind with 22 points, and Adisadel remained stuck at 15 points.

Round Three, the Problem of the Day, offered a moment of resurgence for Adisadel College, which scored an impressive 6 out of 10, the highest of the round. Mfantsipim followed with 4 out of 10, while Prempeh secured just 2 out of 10. Despite the shakeup, the defending champions kept a strong grip on the lead.

By Round Four, BOTWE had reasserted control, climbing to 61 points, ahead of Prempeh’s 40 and Adisadel’s 31.

The final round, known for its fast-paced riddles, saw Adisadel push hard to close the gap, matching Prempeh point for point. But there was no stopping Mfantsipim. When the final bell sounded, the champions sealed a dominant victory with 64 points. Prempeh College and Adisadel College finished tied at 40 points each.

The win cements Mfantsipim School’s place in the semi-finals of NSMQ 2025, as they continue their mission to defend their title and push for yet another historic championship triumph.
