Malusi Gigaba car smashed, wife arrested [video]
The wife of former Finance Minister Malusi Gigaba has been arrested for alleged damage to property.
Noma Gigaba is believed to have been taken into police custody on Friday evening after allegedly keying a Mercedes-Benz G-Class belonging to the ex-ANC Youth League leader.
A video depicting the incident was widely circulated on social media in the past week.

Keeping up with the Gigaba’s
Police spokesperson Hangwani Mulaudzi confirmed to the SABC that a woman was charged with alleged assault and malicious damage to property and explained that she could face more charges.
“The complaint has been with us for some time we are still busy working on those allegations. There were matters that transpired this week which necessitated us to go straight to the Magistrates Court to ask for a warrant of arrest based on the severity of the case and the charges that were laid”.

It is understood that Noma Gigaba is held in police cells in Pretoria and will appear in court on Monday, meaning she could remain in custody throughout the weekend.

The incident comes after numerous allegations of extra-marital affairs involving Gigaba, which he has denied profusely.
Earlier in the year, Sunday World reported that the couple had separated and was in the process of a divorce.
In 2018, Gigaba was the subject of a leaked sex video, which he had allegedly sent to a woman believed to be his mistress.
However, the ex-Cabinet minister said the video was meant for his wife’s eyes only.
