Kwadwo Wiafe of Despite Media Company passes on

Popular UTV personality, Kwadwo Wiafe, according to news reaching us has passed on this morning with the cause of his death not yet confirmed.

Kwadwo Wiafe, Head of Marketing at UTV and host of drive time show Ye Ko Fie on Neat Fm drew his last breath at the Nyaho Medical Center in Accra today Thursday, June 4, 2020, after reportedly falling ill.

The news of Wiafe’s death has left many industry people in tears. Despite Media Company has indeed lost a vibrant personality with the favourite_mcs_mc passing on.

A highlight of the young MC and presenter’s escapades was when he was called upon to MC at Dr. Kwame Despite’s son who doubles as the general manager of Despite Media Company Kennedy Osei and wife Tracy’s wedding.

Wiafe claimed that the wedding dubbed Kency 2020, was one of the biggest social events to happen in Ghana and Africa in the year 2020.

He asserted that the sheer display of wealth and class during the wedding ceremony had attracted people all over Africa to cast their sights on Ghana.

According to the presenter, Despite’s son Kennedy Osei’s wedding next to the Year of Return campaign was the event that created the most social media buzz and media platforms in Ghana owed the young couple royalties for how much money they made from streams of the glamorous wedding.

The loss of the high-spirited presenter comes as a shock to many media personalities with the likes of Abeiku Santana mourning their colleague after the news of his death broke.

Abeiku Santana in a post on his Instagram page wrote, ”Oh death why? God have mercy upon us, R.I.P Kwadwo”.
